Giving back through partnering with local non-profits investing and advocating for youth.
The Giese Foundation is a non-profit, grant making family foundation. We value creating and implementing God-loving causes, specifically related to the future generation. Focusing on early childhood education all the way through college, our goal is to partner with local organizations and contribute to equipping successful, faith-based leaders in our community.
Our team is committed to understanding the need and serving in the localities we reside. Within the Greater Washington D.C. and Baltimore communities, our team does not reinvent the wheel but rather focuses on walking alongside impactful organizations. We partner with others who are cultivating resilient, faith-based leaders and join hands to be the change…
Our convictions have spurred us on to invest in future generations in any way we can. While there are many incredible non-profits within our community doing the work to curate strong, resilient God-loving leaders, there is an immense need for funding. This foundation grew from the desire to partner with agencies on the ground.
We focus on leveling the playing field for the future generation to act justly, love mercifully and walk humbly with our God. Our Foundation provides the momentum to affect change by using data driven models and partnering with non-profits making a long-lasting difference with the future generation.
The goal of these activities is to provide the foundation with a better understanding of the current programs active within our localities; who is leading these programs; what has been. Working with parents, student performance, and mentorship/networking; what has not been working well and why; and lastly, any current initiatives that are underway. Once the foundation has a broader view of the challenges that exist, that then shapes the direction we take with our investment of capital.
Grants will be committed to Christian educational institutions and high-impact non-profits working within the targeted geographic service areas.
WE DO NOT TAKE UNSOLICITED FUNDING REQUESTS.
The grant making strategy of the foundation is to leverage existing programming efforts, or to cultivate and grow better integrated supports with identified partners, with our eye towards creating successes in more broadly derived collective impacts. Thus, the reason we do not take unsolicited funding requests.
Our goal is to work within the system to:
