We Walk Alongside

Community isn’t something we fund from a distance — we show up, we walk alongside the people and organizations making Maryland a place of hope. That’s Out in the Community: the living record of the events, partners, and moments, big and small, where faith in action simply means being there. It’s also The Fellowship Network, where that same spirit becomes a partnership beyond the grant — bringing our grantee partners together for honest relationships, shared wisdom, and the encouragement that only comes from people doing the same hard, through small-group fellowships and practical workshops built around real challenges, from fundraising strategy and donor engagement to the lessons only experience teaches. These aren’t lectures. They are exchanges, grounded in what we have believed from the beginning: when strong organizations walk alongside one another, the whole community rises.

The Fellowship Network – Our Work Together

Great work rarely happens alone. The Fellowship Network brings the Brian & Patricia Giese Foundation’s grantee partners together in the spirit that has always defined meaningful community, honest relationships, shared wisdom, and the kind of encouragement that only comes from people doing the same hard, hopeful work.

Grantees gather through small-group fellowships and practical workshops designed around the real challenges of nonprofit leadership, from fundraising strategy and donor engagement to the unwritten lessons that only experience teaches. These are not lectures.

They are exchanges. And they are grounded in a simple belief the Brian & Patricia Giese Foundation has held from the beginning: that when strong organizations walk alongside one another, the entire community rises.
